David Beverly

OF COUNSEL

David heads the transactional practice of Beckham Portela. David is a sage and seasoned counselor, and his clients benefit from his 30 years of law practice, enhanced by his prior experience as a CPA. The breadth of David's experience is a significant component on our complex litigation cases, as he can bring the unique perspective of a transactional lawyer in analyzing problem situations.

Drawing on his substantial experience in law practice and prior experience in public accounting, David advises clients on a wide range of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, corporate governance strategy, and restructurings. He has experience counseling clients in a number of industries, including merchant banking, real estate, upstream energy, construction, health care, hospitality, chemicals, and consumer products. Prior to entering the study of law, Mr. Beverly practiced as a certified public accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. assisting clients in the real estate, upstream and midstream energy, and banking industries.
